OUR BUSINESS

Oil Refining

Throughout the entire secondary oil refinement process, catalysts are employed. With a 3,000-ton yearly production capacity, the KNGP VORTEX GAS, TOO sole oil company produces catalytic cracking catalysts in-house. This is not enough to meet the needs of the refinery. Most other oil refineries in Kazakhstan also import hydro-process catalysts, which include hydrocracking and hydrotreating. To establish a new industry, KNGP VORTEX GAS, TOO is aggressively advancing the manufacturing of catalysts in Kazakhstan.

With 15,000 tons of catalysts for catalytic cracking, 4,000 tons for hydrotreating, and 2,000 tons for hydrocracking products, the new facility can produce 21,000 tons of catalysts annually. A nationwide has been released by the Ministry of Energy in Kazakhstan. The Company has focused its refining efforts in recent years on providing the market with premium petroleum products. As it upgraded its refineries over time, KNGP VORTEX GAS, TOO was able to expand the variety of products it offered, improve the caliber of those products, and grow more competitive. This is the largest restoration project for oil refining facilities carried out by Kazakhstan’s oil industry.
